Super OFW KIds 2018 : Rotary Club of Makati Business District and Rotary Club of Makati Nielsen honors new heroes to inspire the Filipino youth!!! On June 25, 2017, Saturday, at the Metro Club in Rockwell, Makati City inspiring Filipino children were awarded for their outstanding contributions to their families, schools and communities. The children were praised for activities such as leading, volunteering, and mentoring. Gichelle Miracle Burwell is an outstanding student in Palanan Elementary School . She is a well-rounded learner who exemplifies “excellence towards success”! She is a Mathematics jewel and has been recognized in International Mathematics Competitions abroad, a National winner of Spelling Bee in Filipino, a young scientist who competes nationally, a young writer who is involved in the National School Press Conference and her school publication- The Pinnacle, a class officer and a music enthusiast involved in her Drum and Lyre club , The Muskateers. Despite her busy schedule, she always extends her service to others by teaching her fellow students and motivating others to do their best. She is a true model of a young lady with excellence in academics and character! Her godfather who lives and works in Singapore is an avid supporter of Gichelle and ensures that she is recognized and rewarded for her exemplary achievements. Our OFW partner, who is a true Filipino hero for our nation. She was awarded SUPER OFW KID 2016-2017!!! Evgeny D. Cruz excels in academics and has represented the country in several competitions locally and abroad. His winning awards in International Mathematics competitions in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia and in International Science Competition in Indonesia is a true testament of Filipino talent and skill. Math and Science / Robotics are his passions but he is also involved in the school paper and the school student body. Not only does he excel in several fields, he always remembers to share his blessings and talents to his fellow students by tutoring them. His uncle works in Abu Dhabi, UAE as a Pilot Technician and strives hard to help Evgeny in his school expenses and to make his dreams come true in competing Internationally . A true Filipino hero to his family and nation. Evegeny was awarded SUPER OFW Brainy KID 2016-2017! Nine-year old Zheryly Ann Chavez, the youngest Super OFW Kid is a true example of a child that uses her time and talents to do her best in all that she does. She studies hard to do well in her academics, fills her day with activities and is devoted to her family. But through it all, she never forgets to help others in her school and thanks God for her blessings. Great values we should all remember and live by! – Zheryly- Super OFW Caring Kid 2016-2017!
