The Architectural Students’ Association of the Philippines – University of the Philippines Chapter (ASAPHIL-UP) stands as a prominent academic student organization within the University of the Philippines Diliman. Serving as a vital hub for students across Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Interior Design, ASAPHIL-UP holds a distinguished position as the largest organization within the College of Architecture.
In the upcoming second semester of the academic year 2023-2024, ASAPHIL-UP is set to host one of its flagship events, Tanglaw 2024: Techno Treads. Scheduled for March 16, 2024, at the UP Diliman College of Architecture Building 1, the event will unfold from 8 am to 5 pm.
Tanglaw serves as a platform for a myriad of activities including talks, lectures, workshops, and competitions tailored for high school students ranging from Grades 9 to 12, who harbor a fervent interest in design and the arts. This year’s edition will focus on the pivotal role of artificial intelligence (AI) in bridging diverse design elements and its efficacy in tackling multifaceted design challenges. Moreover, the event endeavors to shed light on the judicious and ethical utilization of AI within the design sphere, emphasizing responsible practices in its application.
