ScienceKonek, the youth-led media organization registered under the National Youth Commission, has made a name as a bridge between science and the Filipino community since 2021. With registration number YO-9304-100124, ScienceKonek is dedicated to providing accessible STEM knowledge and inspiring citizen science, especially among young Filipinos.
As it celebrates its 3rd founding anniversary, ScienceKonek announces an exciting week-long festival, “Siyensiya at Kabataan (SK): Breaking Barriers, Bridging Gaps,” from November 15 to 23, 2024. This event will take place in multiple locations across the Philippines, culminating in a vibrant science fair in Pasig City, Metro Manila.
The festival promises a unique blend of engaging lectures, interactive exhibits, and community activities, all aimed at making science more approachable and relevant. With the theme “Breaking Barriers, Bridging Gaps,” the event will emphasize the vital role science plays in transcending stereotypes, fostering inclusivity, and building connections. Through these celebrations, ScienceKonek hopes to ignite a passion for science among Filipino youth, empowering them to see themselves as part of the global scientific community.
