Olivier and Tony Award-winner Lea Salonga is set to captivate Manila once again as she stars in Theatre Group Asia’s highly anticipated production of Into The Woods. This darkly enchanting Sondheim classic takes over the Samsung Performing Arts Theater in Circuit Makati this August.
Salonga, returning to the role of The Witch 30 years after first playing it, calls the experience “illuminating” and praises Sondheim’s complex yet rewarding musical genius. The production, helmed by Chari Arespacochaga in tribute to the late Bobby Garcia, follows TGA’s 2024 sensation Request sa Radyo.
With Clint Ramos as co-producer, artistic director, and designer, Into The Woods promises a spellbinding journey through fairy tale worlds, weaving a tale of choices, consequences, and destiny. Don’t miss this theatrical spectacle!
