Ed Sheeran was initially slated to perform in Manila on November 7 but he rescheduled his show to April 8, 2018.

The concert would still be held at the Mall of Asia Arena Concert Grounds.

The tour dates in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangko, Mumbai and Dubai would go as scheduled.

However, Sheeran said he was forced to reschedule tour dates in Taipei, Seoul, Hong Kong and Jakarta.

Sheeran said his team would work hard to determine the new schedule dates for the canceled tours.

The 26-year-old Grammy Award winning Sheeran asked for the understanding of fans as it is the first time he ever canceled shows.

Sheeran said it was “quite difficult decision to do” but he cannot physically play right now and could not afford to risk not being able to play the guitar forever.

The celebrated performer last performed in the country in March 2015 where sang his hits Grammy Award Song of the Year "Thinking Out Loud," "Photograph," "Give me Love," among others.

For the Divide album tour, Sheeran is expected to perform his hit singles "Shape of You," "Castle on the Hill," "Dive" and "Supermarket Flowers," among others.

His Manila concert would be presented by Ovation Productions and AEG Presents Asia.
